Between the Seen and the Faded
A short selection of works
Olivier J.LW is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice unfolds at the delicate threshold where body, memory, and spirit converge. Through his paintings, he embarks upon an inquiry into identity, dream states, and impermanence, conjuring mutable figures suspended between emergence and dissolution. Sensual yet intangible, his compositions evoke the ineffable — that which is felt beyond the realm of sight.
His visual language emerges from an interplay of expressive gesture and semi-controlled chance, drawing upon biological architectures, spiritual reverberations, and personal mythologies. Each series serves as a portal into liminal spaces: the absent origins of adoption, the biochemical terrain of dreaming, and the gradual fading of spectral presences.
In parallel with his pictorial work, Olivier cultivates a rich and instinctual sonic landscape, inviting both viewer and listener to enter a realm where presence and absence coalesce in profound harmony.
