About
Olivier J. LW is a multidisciplinary artist and musician born in Western Europe in the early 1980s and now based in the south of France. His creative path began in childhood with a fascination for nature’s hidden intelligence, organic structures and unseen orders. This curiosity gradually opened toward inner and speculative realms, where dream imagery and subtle symbolic languages play a central role. Music entered his life during adolescence through raw underground scenes, leading to the formation of a band in Belgium that remains active today and has taken him across continents.
His visual work explores inner landscapes and metaphysical questions through several interconnected bodies of work. One series reflects on his experience as an adoptee, using symbolic and expressive forms rather than narrative to investigate identity, memory and origin. Another focuses on dreams and the body’s nocturnal life, drawing on the biology of sleep and inner circulation to evoke a liminal space between the physical and the imaginal. A third body of work approaches the spiritual realm, portraying ghostly presences at the fragile threshold between visibility and disappearance.
His musical practice mirrors this search for depth and layered meaning. Through sound design, guitars, pedals and synthesizers, he develops compositions that unfold from sensation into texture, echoing the emotional and spiritual territories explored in his paintings. Working from his home-studio in France, Olivier continues to approach creation as a form of inquiry, guided by images rising from the subconscious and the collective field
